Despite a 0-2 lead at OAKA stadium, Olympiacos collapsed in the second half and lost to hosts AEK who wanted the win more than the champions, in a game that was interrupted in the 70th minute as the wind brought in the stadium tear gas from outside, where police were fighting against a group of rowdy fans.

AEK came in the game strong and took possession of the ball in the first 20 minutes, missing some good chances. Yet, it was Olympiacos who scored first with a genius shot by Marko Marin.

In the second half, substitute Marko Livaja made AEK more dangerous in offense, but, again, it was Olympiacos who put it in the net with Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe.

After that, the hosts had nothing to lose and continued to attack from the right with Lazaros Christodoulopoulos. The midfielder managed to score two goals and equalize. The 13-minute stoppage due to the tear gas that made it for some players impossible to breathe did not deter AEK who continued the offensive. Olympiacos literally collapsed and the third goal by the home team by captain Petros Mandalos in the 90th minute came as no surprise.
